5 Trends to Wear This Fall

With Fall here, you’re probably ready to break out your favorite sweaters, jeans, and jackets. If your closet is in need of a style revamp, just look to the Fall fashion trends that designers, bloggers, and street style stars have already embraced. The best part? All of the season’s biggest trends are not only stylish and fashion-forward but super flattering and easy to pull off, too.

Mad For Plaid

This season’s checkered styles have been given a sleek modern upgrade. Look for plaid pieces with tailored finishes, pretty embellishments, and unexpected color combos to make the classic print seem fresh and brand-new.

Hint of Sparkle

Designers like Sally LaPointe want you to add a little sparkle to your Fall looks. Whether you rock a chunky sweater with a sequined skirt or layer a sparkly jacket over your favorite autumnal outfits, this trend is sure to make you stand out.

Logo Mania

Logomania was all over the Fall 2018 runways, and street style stars have already been spotted rocking their favorite brand’s signature symbols. Be sure to incorporate at least one logo-emblazoned piece into your rotation this fall.

Colorful Tights

This is probably the easiest Fall 2018 trend to wear, as you can incorporate bold hosiery into almost all your Fall looks.

Go Wild with Animal Prints

Animal prints are a perennial favorite, but Fall’s styles are wilder than ever. Ease into the trend with a sleek cheetah print blazer or skirt, and once you are comfortable, take a walk on the wild and start mixing and matching different animal prints.

Biggest Street Style Trends of 2022

This year, Ultra Violet has been named the official color of 2018, see-through bags and heels have become wardrobe staples, and dad sneakers are now acceptable to wear around town, being that they’re one of the hottest shoe trends of the moment. Here are four street style trends that you’re going to see everywhere in 2018.

Twinning with a Friend

No, twinning with a best friend is no longer solely reserved for kids. This season, we saw an array of street style stars wear matching outfits and it was adorable as heck.

PVC

This see-through trend is not only super interesting to look at, but it’s also highly wearable. You can ease into the PVC trend with a chic raincoat or a pair of clear heels.

Fanny Packs

An easy way to cinch in your waist? Fanny packs. We can’t get enough of these waist-bags because they allow us to go hands-free and they’re surprisingly functional.

Logo Mania

Logo mania is back with celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian rocking the trend. Kourtney is just one of the many A-listers who can’t get enough of Fendi’s iconic print. Can you blame ’em?

5 Spring/Summer 2021 Fashion Trends

The spring/summer 2018 fashion trends are nothing if not bright, bold and really quite beautiful. Shifting gears from the street’s athleisure boom, there’s a prettier, softer mood in the air, and girls who like to dress up will be thrilled. Keep reading to discover 5 S/S 18’s fashion trends, from colors to prints and key pieces to new details.

Sequins

To say sequins and sparkles will be a big deal next summer is an understatement. In every fashion capital, glitter prevailed, starting with Tom Ford and Marc Jacobs right through to Gucci, Dior and Chanel. Style yours with a sweatshirt to give them daytime longevity.

Pastels

Whether lilac, pink, lemon or duck egg blue, expect to see an array of fashion’s prettiest shades next season. But as Victoria Beckham said “delicacy can be strong”; saccharine these colors are not – consider tailoring in ice cream hues or wearing them in unexpected ways like at Celine.

Checks

It looks as if heritage checks are going nowhere for the season ahead. Balenciaga’s came via voluminous coats as seen here, while Victoria Beckham’s had a more traditional appeal. Anyone looking for floaty feminine styles should turn to Sonia Rykiel where they were bright and summer-ready. Burberry’s homage was perhaps the most overt—expect to see its check caps everywhere next season.

Bold Color

Next summer will be very bright indeed if the catwalks are anything to go by – least of all at Christopher Kane (pictured) and Roksanda Ilincic. From New York to Paris, the shows were awash with vibrant, bold shades to suit every coloring.

Ruffles

Ruffles added a feminine air yet again this season, with Erdem, Alexander McQueen, Givenchy and Valentino all incorporating them in their respective shows.

How to Wear the Pantone Color of the Year 2019

The ultimate authority on color, paint brand Pantone, recently named Living Coralthe 2019 Color of the Year. The bright orange-pink hue is a stark contrast with last year’s chosen shade, Ultra Violet. According to the company, the 2019 Color of the Year represents and emits a “desired, familiar, and energizing aspects of color found in nature.” Pantone strongly believes in the deeper power a color can hold, and Living Coral represents “how coral reefs provide shelter to a diverse kaleidoscope of color.”

Living Coral, an intimidatingly bold color, seems somewhat difficult to integrate into everyday life, especially in the middle of New York City’s dreary winter landscape. However, just weeks after the color was announced, it has already found itself setting trends.

Living Coral is also already showing up on the runway. The color made an appearance at the Valentino Couture Spring 2019 fashion show. Living Coral is easy to find in casual wear as well. To combat the cold, Patagonia has a classic fleece zip-up sweater in the color Tomato. In terms of activewear, Set Active’s Leggings and Sports Bras in the color Mars prove versatile for indoors or outdoors and for practically any season.

Another easy way to approach Living Coral is through beauty. Not an uncommon color for lipsticks, blushes or eyeshadows, Pantone has specific collaborations with brands such as Butter London, where they’ve released lip gloss and nail polishes under the “Pantone Collection.”

Another beauty brand that has already dipped into this shade is New York City-based Glossier, whose cult-favorite product, Cloud Paint, comes in the coral shade Dawn.

Living Coral’s vibrancy not only represents but also indicates how culture and design will play out for the rest of 2019. After the darkness of the past year, Coral serves as a small reminder of brightness.
